ALVA – Regenerative Housing
Concept project developed with Anton Chernikov as a part of Innovate UK grant application.
ALVA is a framework for regenerative settlement based on Agrihoods idea where the development combines food and real estate. These villages offer residential living with a farm-to-table focus for young, active families seeking a lifestyle centred around simplicity and sustainability. Agrihoods are part of a larger movement known as “new urbanism” to create walkable, mixed-use communities that prioritize healthful living and strong connections.
ALVA goes beyond providing workplaces and features such as agrotourism, forest school, events space etc.
ALVA promotes affordability and sustainability by: using lightweight materials, innovative solutions, dynamic thermal mass, zoned underfloor heating, fast on-site assembly with self-finish.
